What is the Child & Adult Care Food Program?
The Child & Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a program funded by the United States Department of Agriculture where registered, certified, or DHS-Listed child care providers are trained in the food program meal pattern and are reimbursed at a fixed rate for serving meals and snacks to their day care children. If they meet income guidelines, they can be reimbursed for the meals served to their own children as well.
