Energy Education

You can now receive FREE energy education through UCAN. During this short class you can receive compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs), kitchen and bathroom sink aerators, a whistle that will help alert you as to when it is time to change your furnace filter, a low flow shower head with massage, spray, and stream, as well as switch plate covers with temperature and relative humidity gauge. In addition to your FREE energy saving kit you will be trained on installation of these items and how they work. This energy savings kit combined with tips you will learn about energy conservation could save you 20%-40% on your utility bills. This process is usually done in a classroom setting but can be done one-on-one in our office or your home.

If you, or a member of your household is disabled OR if your household meets our income guidelines, contact us in Douglas County at 492-3512 or in Josephine County at 956-4447 to find out more.

Here is what some of our customers are saying:

Hi,

Recently your organization helped us by providing weatherization assistance. That help consisted of sealing our heating ductwork and replacement fo three broken windows and a (rotten) door for our mobile home.

The workers all performed their tasks with great care & diligence, with a courteous, friendly attitude. They even cleaned up after themselves!

Thank you!

Sincerely,
Weatherization client in Idelyld, Oregon

I am writing to thank UCAN's Weatherization Department. Our utility bills were getting higher every month, and it was getting more and more difficult to keep up with them. UCAN's program made a humongous difference in my bill. My family and I are very grateful for the help UCAN has given us.
