Umpqua Community Action Network

UCAN Transitions offers individually customed workshops on a variety of subjects including communications, problem solving, stress management, anger management, assertiveness, values, decision-making, self esteem, and other issues relating to job readiness, interpersonal skills and personal growth. These workshops are available to organizations and employers for a fee and are also occasionally organized for the community at no cost (such as the Second Chance Renters' Program). These workshops are designed for adult women and men.

Directions: An outreach program open to both men and women. The program, which is a collaboration with Umpqua Community College, offers a variety of stand-alone workshops on a wide variety of topics, developing both 'hard' and 'soft' skills in order to increase participants' self-confidence and their ability to enter further training or employment, or to advance in their current workplace. Workshop schedules are published quarterly.


ELIGIBILITY: There are no income restrictions. The Confidence Clinic and Women's Workshop are for adult women. Directions is for adult men and women.
