ATTENTION: Before applying for a Head Start job, you MUST be enrolled in the Criminal History Registry. Initial registration requires completion of an Application for Enrollment in the Criminal History Registry (CCD199) and submitting it to the Child Care Division with processing fee. Registry results MUST be included with the UCAN job application. Please allow 2-3 weeks for in-state results; 6-8 weeks for out-of-state results.

APPLICATION PROCESS
How do I apply for a position with UCAN?
UCAN job openings are posted on this website, UCAN offices and the Oregon State Employment Division. When there is an opening, applicants must submit a completed UCAN employment application before the closing date. Application forms can be downloaded from this page and are also available from Human Resources.
It is important to note that applications are only accepted for positions that are currently open.
SELECTION PROCESS
How does the selection process work?
Applications are thoroughly reviewed and screened by the human resources manager. Applications will be evaluated based on the minimum qualifications identified for the job. The most qualified candidates will be forwarded to the recruiting program.
Based on further screening, program managers will determine the candidates to interview.
How do I find out my application status?
Candidates who are interviewed will be notified either by telephone or by mail of the results of the selection process.

Benefits summary
Positions that are budgeted to work 30 hours or more per week on a regular basis qualify for benefits of medical, vision, dental, short/long term disability and life insurance programs fully paid for the employee. UCAN provides a progressive leave accrual paid-time-off system which can be used for vacation, sick, personal, or holiday time. Employer paid retirement options of either a 401(k) or a 403(b) plan are available after one year of employment.
