Medicaid Transportation is a UCAN service provided in conjunction with Translink. UCAN Medicaid Transportation Program provides transporation services to eligible Oregon Health Plan and eligible Medicaid clients traveling to authorized medical services in Douglas and Josephine counties. These transportation services are proviced to clients who have no other way to get to their medical services.

Transportation services are initiated by calling Translink at 541-842-2060 or 888-518-8160(toll free) to determine program eligibility. Referrals are then made by Translink to the UCAN Medicaid Transportation Program in Douglas and Josephine Counties. Volunteer drivers for UCAN then pick up the client and deliver them to and from their medical appointments. There is no charge to the client for this service.

Occasionally a client who is not eligible for the Oregon Health Plan or Medicaid services will be driven to and from medical appointments, therefore if the need is present for transportation services the client should make the call to Translink to see if transportation is available.
