Women, Infants and Children Nutrition Program (WIC)

WIC at United Community Action Network

WIC is a free, special program where families get healthy food and a lot more. WIC is for those who are pregnant, new and nursing parents, and children under age 5. WIC helps improve the health of families and supports a healthy start for infants and children.

Our WIC program can provide you and your children:

  • Free WIC foods,
  • Info on healthy eating,
  • Nursing support,
  • Dental screening,
  • Referrals to other agencies, programs and services,
  • Free basic needs items, like diapers.

We offer services if you:

  • Are part households on OHP, SNAP, TANF or meet income guidelines, and,
  • Live in Douglas County (for those in Josephine County, see info below about WIC there).

If you are a father, grandparent, foster parent or legal guardian of a child who qualifies for WIC, you can apply for them as well.
